China's Billionaires on the rise
Hurun Report which is equivalent to the Forbes has just released the latest Global Rich List 2013. The result is China has more millionaires than the US. Nonetheless the US still has more billionaires than China. It is believed to be the first time Asia has been named as home of the largest proportion of super-rich on any global list. 7 of the top 20 real estate tycoons on the list live in China. I have been told that many rich Mainland Chinese don't want to be on the list. Being on the list increases the possibilities of being investigated by the China government. Therefore, I strongly believe the list doesn't reflect the real number of the rich Chinese in China.
Another interesting fact is out of the total 357 billionaires in China, 153 are female, 262 live on the Chinese Mainland, 54 in Hong Kong and 32 in Taiwan. Woman power is also on the rise.
