Investment opportunity: Vineyard + Real Estate in Okanagan Part 2

TM: When people want to invest in wine, what kind of price range, should they invest in a whole vineyard? Or just a investment fund? I understand you are having your project, can you explain it to us a little bit so our investors can have a better idea.

Sure. One of the challenge of investing directly of a sole ownership of a vineyard or winery is that they have to hire the expiries to operate that business. One of things we are doing in our venture is we are offering an investment, so people can come in and participate financially and equity of the business. And we are fully integrated winery operation where we have vineyard we own for more than 20 years, the highest awarded vineyard in the country. We are in the process of building a state-of-the-art facility for not only our own brands but also provide custom production for other wineries. And we are also going to be in the business of making and selling wines in the market place, so with all of those things happening and being fully integrated, it is an opportunity for people to invest with people who have experience, and we are going to continue to grow the business and we are in fact looking for investments in other wineries to fit the profile we need fill a complete product portfolio. There is a number of investment opportunity, but certainly, the one like that gives people that are not familiar with the industry to invest at a low risk and reasonable high return.

TM: What is the minimal for people to invest?

People can invest in a large quantity or as small as $10,000 to have an opportunity to participate.

TM: How come it can be as little as $10,000, that little?

Well, what we are trying to do is attract the number of people, it really helps us grow the brand, and we don’t want to be restricted. There is number of people that are investing obviously more than $10,000. In our investment opportunity, there is a program call VCC, which if you are BC residence, you get a 30% tax credit.

TM: How much wine do you produce?

Well, at this point, our production of wine is really small. The vineyard we have is 68 acres, we have 2 brands. One is launched last year called TIME, and the other is McWatter Collection. Between the two, past year we made 5000 cases. We are looking at produce a little bit more than that. Our short-term plan is to produce 30,000 cases, and increase to 50,000cases within the foreseeable future.
