A mortgage broker spoke with the HST office last week regarding the turnaround time for HST rebates (rental and residential). They used to tell clients that they should expect to wait 10-12 weeks. Unfortunately, the new wait time is up to six months!! Please be prepared, as many of you have lines of credit outstanding waiting to be paid back, and the delay is costing you money.
