Who are the volatile groups in today's market?
Everytime when the real estate market or the stock market goes through its cycle which is normally once a decade, I noticed it always affect a few groups of people:
1) Virgin buyer. They are usually renters or buyer who has been living at home. This is because they never had any real estate transaction experience. However, I noticed if the young buyers are being brought up by the parents who always have real estate investment, they have very different point of view from the rest of the people. Even though they are cautious, they have good influences from their family to help them to make the right decision in any market condition. In the event, if the parents are traditional conservative type who prefer to keep their money in the bank or under their pillows, you might need some professional assistant to help you to make the right decision.
2) New immigratant: They usually have real estate transaction in their home country but since they don't have any real estate transaction experience in a foreign country, it is NATURAL that they gain their knowledge and information from the media. Any negative comment will embedded in their mind, affect their emotion & finally become scared of making decsion which usually cost them afterwards.
3) Virgin investors: never invested before, got some money in hand, heard of their friends made lots of money through real estate so they want to try it out. However, they get scared to make decision cause they worry the market will keep falling and they will loose all their money.
No matter which group you belong to, it is important for you to seek for professional advice just like you go to the accountant and lawyer.
